FOUNDER
I have been proudly attending births and encapsulating placentas for women of Northeast Ohio since 2014. From a very young age I was drawn to birth. That attraction, coupled with my belief in serving others inspired me to further my knowledge in order to truly reach people. In 2010, I received a certification as a Holistic Health Coach from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Still feeling called to birth work, I took this holistic perspective and “food as medicine” belief system with me and attended my first birth doula workshop through DONA International in 2013. During the time I was beginning to work as a doula, I learned through observation and personal study, the wondrous art of placenta encapsulation. That same year, I also had the privilege of visiting Bumi Sehat Foundation in Bali, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving pregnant women through holistic practices. I am presently trained and experienced in the Traditional Chinese Method and raw preparation. I am also trained by OSHA standards for bloodborne pathogens and safety. When I am not at work, I dedicate time to my yoga practice, spend time with my partner, son, and beloved hound dog. I currently attend school, and am pleased to be continuing my education with a future in Midwifery.
